With the assistance of the President, The DREAM Act is taking on a new form. By Executive Order, the President exercised his power to assist young persons that are undocumented aliens. This is under a new policy called "Prosecutorial Discretion". We must be careful with our expectations because "Discretion" can be defined in many ways. Also, this Executive Order can be changed by a new President or eliminated by Congress. However, Work Permits will be issued for (2) two years with the issue of travel still undecided. "I am still very excited for the young generation of immigrants."
